The production is based on the iconic 1990 film, starring Richard Gere and then-up-and-coming Julia Roberts, who became one of the world's biggest stars due to the film's success.

The mega production arrives in the country for the first time with a cast of 25 actor-singers, led by the protagonists Jarbas Homem de Mello, portraying Edward Lewis, and Thais Piza as Vivian Ward, accompanied by an orchestra made up of 10 musicians.
